Deleting a project
Remove a project, everything in it and its machines, and stop billing for it.
Deleting a project removes everything in it: its web services, workers, cron jobs, databases, key value stores, storage services, volumes, firewall and load balancers, their data, and all its machines. To stop paying for one machine and keep the project, remove that machine instead.
Before you delete
Deleting a database, key value store or storage service deletes its data, so copy anything you want to keep first.
A deleted database can't be restored, even if it had backups. See Postgres backups.
If Athena built the app, its code is deleted too. Download it first if you want to keep it. A request Athena is working on is stopped.
Delete the project
- Open the project's Settings page.
- In the Danger Zone, click Delete project.
- The window lists what will be deleted. Type
DELETEfollowed by the project's name exactly as shown, for exampleDELETE Kanban. - Click Delete project.
Appentic takes you back to the dashboard, where the project shows Deleting while each part and then the machines are removed. It disappears from the dashboard when it's gone, usually within a few minutes. This can't be undone.
If a machine is being set up, changed, stopped or started, you're asked to wait until it has finished. Try again then. If some part can't be deleted, the project goes back to normal, its machine card on the Resources page says Deleting this project didn't finish., and you can delete it again.
Billing
Each service's fee stops as it's deleted, and each machine is billed up to the second it's removed. See How billing works.
