Adding credits

Top up your balance by card through Stripe.

You pay for Appentic with prepaid credits, bought through Stripe. Your balance is in US dollars, and Appentic deducts your projects' costs from it as they run.

Only the workspace owner's credits pay for a workspace's projects, so the owner is the one who adds credits. See Workspaces and collaborators.

Add credits

  1. Open the user menu and choose User settings, then Billing.
  2. Click Add credits.
  3. Under Top up your balance, pick $5, $10, $25 or $100.
  4. Click Add $… credits.
  5. Pay on the Stripe checkout page.

When the payment completes, you return to Appentic and the credits are on your balance. If you cancel on the checkout page, nothing is charged.

Sales tax or VAT is added on top where it applies, so a $25 top-up always gives you $25 of credit.

The top-up appears under Transactions on the Billing page. If a payment is refunded or disputed, the credit it bought is taken back.

Pay from an alert email

A low-balance alert email has a Pay to top up button that works without signing in. See Paying from the alert.

Promo codes

If Appentic emailed you a promo code, sign in with the address it was sent to and enter it under Promo code on the Billing page.

How much to add

Check Estimated runway on the Billing page: it shows about how many days your balance lasts at your current costs. Add enough to stay well above the suspension reserve, the amount at which your projects are suspended. To choose a machine or add a service, your balance also needs a day of running costs on top of it (details).

Appentic never tops up on its own, so set a low-balance alert.

After a suspension

If your projects were suspended because your credits ran out, adding credits starts them again automatically, as long as your new balance is above the suspension reserve. The Billing page shows the least you need to add. See Getting your projects back.
